Last Monday, I was on my way home. My car was on full stop while I was waiting for the traffic to clear out when another car hit mine from behind. My car turned around thrice and then hit another car. When my car stopped turning I was so shocked and I was not even able to move for a few minutes. I was in shock because I could see the car that hit me was badly damaged and my first concern was "Is the driver okey? ". Thankfully, she was. I removed my seatbelt, went out of the car and looked at the damage. There wasn't much damage to the car but the tire was blasted.
But what I am most thankful for is that I was wearing a seatbelt. Although I have always worn a seatbelt, I never really knew how important it is until I had that accident. I realized that if I wasn't wearing one, I could have been thrown out of the car or my head could have hit the steering wheel. A lot worst could have happened to me if I chose not to wear the seatbelt. Although I have bruises and welts from the seatbelt, a lot worse could have happened if I wasn't wearing one.
So always remember kids to ALWAYS WEAR A SEATBELT when you are in a car.
